Urban Fixie

This was the first bicycle out of the Satoma Cycles workshop.  Designed for myself to run around in Cambridge.

The frame features custom cut bi-laminate section on the top tube and down tube sections and is fillet brazed all over. The idea was to give the impression, after paint, that the rear section of the frame was holding onto the front.

It has a short wheelbase coupled with a slightly relaxed head angle which means the frame handles swiftly through traffic but is not disturbed as easily with the rough roads. Fat tyres and a carbon fork helps soak up the tarmac and makes the bike supremely comfortable in the old city.

The frame also features the unique Satoma Tack Dropout.
